End-users must have an HTML5-compatible Client Browser to use the Nodinite Web Client.
You can not use Internet Explorer with Nodinite 5.3 or later.
Features
The Web Client provides thousands of functions, which are documented on many pages. The Web Client user interface offers the following data items:
- General Information
- Sidebar Menu - Links to the selected feature
- Pages and modals
On the Web Client's left side, the console panels have tiles with child tiles representing different types of artifacts/entities that you can view and manage.
When you select a tile in the console, the details pane on the right side of the Web Client displays information about the items.
The Nodinite Web Client has Role-based security, and the available features look different for different Users, depending on their Role-membership.
General Information
The Web Client has the following informational elements (from left to right, top to bottom):
- Sidebar menu
- Logo - Nodinite
- License information
- Customer Name - The name of the Licensee
- Environment - Name of a run-time environment
- Logged-on user - Name of the logged-on User (Using Windows Integrated security)
- Status - Current state of Nodinite installation together with information about the currently evaluated state of Monitor Views
- Help - Quick links to documentation- and support pages
- Show Deleted - Option to include deleted in list views, visible where applicable
Sidebar Menu
To facilitate navigating the Nodinite Web Client, there is a sidebar menu with multiple display options.
Here's an example of the Nodinite Web Client sidebar as seen by an Nodinite Administrator.
The actual content for a non-administrator depends on assigned permissions.
At the bottom of the sidebar menu, there is a button to help you change the size and behaviour of the sidebar menu. This setting is stored in a browser cookie with a one-year expiration period.
The following modes exist:
- Hidden - This option gives you a full-screen experience working with the Web Client.
- Small - This option gives you a small-sized sidebar menu.
- Large - This option keeps the sidebar menu large as long as you do not enter mobile mode (small screen).
- Auto (default) - This option automatically changes the size of the sidebar menu according to the screen size.
