Step 2: Review Configuration
Review your environment configuration using the visual architecture diagram.
Prerequisites
Steps
Note
In the new portal, the architecture diagram is available inside the Review and Download step (portal step 6) of the environment wizard. You can also access the environment overview from the environment entry in the portal by clicking Overview in the Actions menu.
- In the Portal, open your environment and navigate to the Review and Download step, then click Generate diagram preview to generate the architecture diagram.

Example of the environment overview showing Core Services architecture with ports, service accounts, and database connections.
- Review the diagram to verify:
- All components are displayed correctly (Web Client, Web API, Log API, Logging Service, Monitoring Service)
- Port assignments match your configuration (default: 40000–40004)
- Service accounts are correct
- Database connection uses the existing v6 Configuration Database
Note
If the reviewed service accounts are domain accounts and you intend to use Windows authentication, confirm your Service Principal Names (SPN) plan now instead of waiting for login failures in later steps. For v7, this usually means HTTP SPNs for the IIS-hosted Web Client and Web API names, plus the SQL Server SPNs used by backend connections.
- If changes are needed, return to Step 1: Register Environment and navigate back through the portal wizard steps to update your settings.
