Start action for Send Port

Discover how you can use the web-based administration console (Web Client) of Nodinite to Start BizTalk Server Send Ports.

Learn how to Stop a started Send Port in the Stop BizTalk Server Send Port Action user guide.

A User can manage BizTalk Send Ports using Role-based Monitor Views where Remote Actions are allowed.

How do I Start a BizTalk Server Send Port?

To Start a BizTalk Send Port, press the Action button menu item on the selected row in the list of BizTalk Server Send Ports:
Start Action
Action button for starting a Send Port.

Next, the User is prompted with a question to confirm intent to proceed with the Start operation:
Confirm Start Operation
Confirmation dialog for starting the Send Port.

Then, the result of the operation will be displayed for the User:
Send Port Started Successfully
Successful start operation on the BizTalk Server Send Port.

Important

The port may have an incomplete configuration or other dependencies that prohibit it from being started. If Nodinite cannot start it, you likely cannot start it from the BizTalk Server Administration MMC either.

When a Send Port is Started, it is evaluated as being in the OK state:
Resource in the Started State
Started Send Port as displayed in Nodinite Monitor Views.

Auto Healing

Nodinite can automatically issue the Start, Stop, Enlist, or Unenlist command for you. Learn more in the Auto Healing user guide. This feature keeps selected BizTalk Server Send Ports in the intended run-time state.

Tip

Using Auto Healing keeps your BizTalk environment in its intended state.

After you have successfully started a BizTalk Server Send Port, you can later Stop it (so that it is no longer running and processing messages). For information about stopping a Send Port, see How to Stop a Send Port.
