Working with Nodinite
Nodinite is now installed and configured, and you can start to work with it. As described in the Planning Guide, your next goal is to enable self-service, so the business gets value from Nodinite without waiting for IT.
Become a producer, not just a consumer. Turn errors and problems into value: don't only react, use the information to plan and apply root-cause fixes for recurring problems.

Start with Access Management (Users, Windows AD Groups, and Roles), publish Log Views and Monitor Views to those Roles, add context with the Repository Model (Knowledge Base Articles and Custom Metadata), and use Reports through the Web API for decision support.
What to Set Up First
| Area | What you do | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Add Users or Windows AD groups and give them Roles | Access Management |
| Logging | Publish the Log Events each team may search | Log Views |
| Monitoring | Publish Resources and alerts each team owns | Monitor Views |
| Documentation | Describe integrations, systems, and owners | Repository Model |
| Business users | Show them the Web Client from their point of view | Getting Started Guide |
| Keep current | Apply the monthly Nodinite updates | Update Nodinite v7 |
Reporting
Explore the Reporting capabilities. Many customers save a lot of money by digging into the statistics and using the logged data as the foundation for decision support.
Any tool that can call a REST API can use the Nodinite Web API, for example:
