The Article Overview in the Repository Model main menu is where a Nodinite Administrator manages Articles.
Articles are part of the Repository Model and are a key feature of Nodinite. There is a specific page for the Knowledgebase Articles topic. Make sure to read and understand the basic concepts before continuing.
In the Article Overview, you will find a sortable list of defined Knowledgebase Articles to manage. An extensive list of Knowledgebase Articles can swiftly be narrowed down to target by typing characters into the filter text box.

Manage Articles
The available functionalities for managing Articles are:
- Add new Article
- Edit existing Article
- Delete Article
- Restore deleted Article
- Export
- Filter the list of Articles
- Sort
- Copy API URL for use in custom Reports
Add new Article
To create a new Article, simply click on the "Add Article" button to open the Article editor.
Edit Article
To Edit an existing Article simply click on the link in the Name column or open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Edit" menu item.
Click the 'Edit' menu item to edit an existing Article
Delete Article
To Delete an existing Article open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Delete" menu item.

Restore deleted Article
To Restore a deleted Article you must first check the "Show deleted Articles" checkbox.
When checked deleted Articles are included in the list*
Then open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Restore" menu item.
Click the 'Restore' menu item to Restore a deleted Article
Export Article
To Export an existing Article open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Export" menu item. This will open the Nodinite generic Export wizard.

Copy API URI
From the "Copy API URI" modal you get the underlying REST API call that was made against the Web API. Click the "Copy API URI" button to open the modal to get the query string.

How do I create a new Article?

How do I create and use tags?
In the "Tags" section, simply start typing letters to either find an existing Tag or create a new Tag (item even states it's a new record to be created). A new Tag to be created is indicated with a '*' (star) sign. Click the Save button to persist changes. You can create as many new Tags as you find fit.
How do I add my Knowledgebase Articles to Resources for use in Monitor Views?
As a Nodinite Administrator, simply click the Action button for the Resource and select Articles
Click the Articles menu item to create new articles for the selected Resource*
Next, you need to define the scope for your article:
- Share articles with Applications - You can make 1 single article shared between all Resources belonging to one or more Applications
- Share articles with Categories - You can make 1 single article shared between all Resources belonging to one or more Categories
- Associate article with selected Resources - You can make 1 single article shared between selected Resources
Click the "Add Article" button to associate article and open next modal for editing the Article
