DisableCustomFields - System Parameter

New 7.0

The Nodinite Repository Model includes an older feature known as Custom Fields. However, it is important to note that Custom Fields are now considered obsolete, as Custom Metadata offers significantly more features and is generally the better option for adding properties to entities within the Nodinite Repository Model.

To enable the use of Custom Fields, the System Parameter named DisableCustomFields must be set to false.

System Parameter Name Data Type Values/Example Comment
DisableCustomFields boolean true/false Default = true (Disable the use of Custom Fields), should be false if you want to use Custom Fields

Frequently asked questions

Additional solutions to common problems and the Nodinite System Parameters FAQ exist in the Troubleshooting user guide.

How do I change the value?

Changing a value for the pre-defined System Parameters is described in the generic 'How do I change the System Parameters' article.

Do I need to restart anything?

This parameter is used by the Web Client to provide end-users the ability to view and manage Custom Fields. If you change this value, then you do NOT need to restart anything. Changes are effective almost immediately.
