Manage the Remote Configuration for Nodinite Monitoring Agents

This guide teaches how to access the configuration modal for Nodinite Monitoring Agents. You can change the monitoring options within this configuration modal according to the presented features.

The Monitoring Agents Overview contains all the manageable and configured Monitoring Agents.

A prerequisite for the Remote Configuration feature is configuring a Secure Connection set in the Security Tab. Review the Add or manage a Monitoring Agent Configuration user guide for details.

  1. As a Nodinite Administrator; Click on the Monitoring Agent Configuration you would like to manage.

  2. Then, click on the Configuration button to open the Remote Configuration Modal.

The Remote Configuration feature is available even for Monitoring Agents installed off-site.

You can also perform many specific configurations from the presented Resource, using the Action button from Monitor Views where Remote Actions are allowed.

Settings tab

All Nodinite Monitoring Agents have a Settings tab. In this tab, the Nodinite Administrator can specify the following global settings:

  • Environment - The name for the type of environment (Test/Prod/QA).
  • Debug - When checked, the monitoring agent writes detailed debug information to the local log file. This option is disabled by default.
  • Culture Information - Culture information defines the culturally appropriate format for displaying dates and times.
