In Nodinite v7, agent uninstallation is automated through the Portal-based PowerShell scripts. This modern approach:

Warning
The Add or Remove Programs uninstallation method for Nodinite v6 is deprecated and will be retired. Please upgrade to Nodinite v7 for the modern Portal-based scripted uninstallation experience.
The Nodinite Web Services Monitoring Agent can be uninstalled by running the installer directly or by using 'Add or Remove Programs' in Windows.>[!INFO]
You should remove the Monitoring Agents and applicable Resources in use within Monitor Views before uninstalling the agent.
If you uninstall the agent without removing the Monitoring Agents, alerts with errors will be sent to users. The Monitoring Agent Configuration will also be listed as unavailable in the list of available Monitoring Agents.

Uninstall guide
Follow these steps to uninstall the Web Services Monitoring Agent:
Before You Uninstall
Important
Remove Nodinite configurations BEFORE uninstalling the agent to prevent continuous error alerts for all users.
Required Configuration Changes
Before clicking Uninstall, complete these steps in the [Web Client][]:
- Remove Resources – Delete all Resources monitored by this agent
- Remove Monitoring Agent Configuration – Delete the agent from Monitoring Agents
- Update Monitor Views – Remove this agent from all Monitor Views
What Happens If You Skip This?
❌ Users receive continuous error alerts: "Monitoring agent unavailable"
❌ Agent appears broken in Monitoring Agents list
❌ Monitor Views display errors for missing agent
❌ Cleanup requires manual intervention across all views

Step 1: Add or Remove Programs
Use the Windows built-in feature to remove installed programs.

Step 2: Start the installer
Optionally, you can double-click the MSI file to start the [un]-installation of the Nodinite Web Services Monitoring Agent.

Start the uninstallation using the MSI file.
Step 3: Welcome Screen
On successful execution of the MSI file or starting from 'Add or remove programs', a Welcome screen is presented.

Click the 'Next' button to continue the uninstallation process or click the 'Cancel' button to quit the installer.
Step 4: Change, Repair or Remove the installation
In the 'Change, repair or remove installation' dialogue, click the 'Remove' button to uninstall the agent and proceed to the next step.

Choose 'Remove' to uninstall the agent.
Step 5: Remove Program
Click the 'Remove' button to remove the agent and proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Completed setup
The last step of the un-installation gives either a success or a premature exit.
