Uninstall
You can quickly and safely uninstall the Microsoft BizTalk Server Monitoring Agent using the installer or Add or Remove Programs in Windows.
Uninstallation Method by Deployment Architecture
Remote Agent — Dedicated BizTalk Server (Typical Production)
In most production environments, the BizTalk Server Monitoring Agent runs on dedicated BizTalk Server nodes separate from the Nodinite Application Server. For remote agents, uninstallation via Add or Remove Programs or the MSI installer is required in both Nodinite v6 and v7.
- Log on to each BizTalk Server node directly (RDP or console) to uninstall the agent.
- Follow the uninstall guide below.
Co-Hosted Agent — Nodinite App Server is also the BizTalk Server (Dev / POC only)
In development or POC environments where BizTalk Server and Nodinite are co-hosted on the same machine, Nodinite v7 also supports removal via the Portal-based PowerShell scripts. Manual uninstallation using the guide below also works in this scenario.
Warning
Before uninstalling, remove any Monitoring Agents and Resources from your Monitor Views. This prevents unnecessary alerts and ensures a smooth transition.If you uninstall the agent without first removing the Monitoring Agents, users will receive error alerts, and the Monitoring Agent Configuration will appear as unavailable in your list of Monitoring Agents.

Uninstall guide
Follow these steps to completely uninstall the Microsoft BizTalk Server Monitoring Agent:
Step 1: Add or Remove Programs

Open Add or Remove Programs in Windows.

Select the agent for removal.
Step 2: Start the installer
Double-click the MSI file to launch the uninstallation process for the Microsoft BizTalk Server Monitoring Agent.

Start the uninstallation by running the MSI file.
Depending on your Windows settings, a security warning may appear. Click 'Run' to continue.

Step 3: Welcome Screen
After launching the MSI or starting from 'Add or Remove Programs', you'll see a Welcome screen.

Click 'Next' to proceed or 'Cancel' to exit the installer.
Step 4: Change, Repair, Remove
In the 'Change, Repair, Remove' dialog, click 'Remove' to uninstall the agent.

Choose Remove to uninstall the agent.
Step 5: Remove Program
Click 'Remove' to finalize the uninstallation.

Confirm removal of the agent.
Step 6: Completed setup
The final step will show either a success or a premature exit.
