Step 3: Advanced Settings
Use Advanced Settings only when one or more Core Services need different service account names or port assignments than the default values from Step 1.
When to Use Advanced Settings
- A security policy requires separate service accounts per service.
- A port conflict exists on the application server.
- A single service needs a different identity than the default service account.
Configure Advanced Settings
- Open the Advanced tab in the Portal wizard.
- Expand the accordion for the service you want to override.

Example of the Advanced tab with service-specific configuration sections expanded.
- Adjust the service account or port only where needed.
- Keep the rest of the services on the default values unless you have a clear requirement to change them.
Recommended Practice
| Setting | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Service accounts | Override only when security or delegation requirements demand it |
| Ports | Keep the default layout unless a conflict exists |
| Naming | Use consistent service account naming so PowerShell 7 prompts are easier to follow |
