Add or manage C4 Diagram Set
Use this guide to create and maintain C4 Diagram Sets in Nodinite. You can add new sets, import existing content, sync updates, view architecture, and perform soft and hard delete when governance requires permanent removal.

Tutorial overview
Step 1: Add a new C4 Diagram Set
Click Add New Set to create a new set.

You can also create from BizTalk with the dropdown path when available.

Fill in required details in the modal and save.
Important
Creating a new C4 Diagram Set requires Create permission in the C4 Diagram Set permission set.

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The name of the C4 Diagram Set. This is required and should be descriptive of the architecture it represents. |
| Description | Optional additional information about the set's purpose or content. |
| Web Site | Optional URL linking to related documentation or resources. |
| Tags | Optional keywords to help categorize and find the set in the Repository. |
| Roles | Assign Roles to control who can access and manage the set. |
After save, verify the success status.

Step 3: Edit set properties
Use the dedicated control to update title, description, ownership, or tags.

Step 4: Use Import and Sync
Import source diagrams into the selected set.
Important
Import requires Create permission in the C4 Diagram Set permission set.

Run Sync to update set content after source changes.

If no diagrams exist in the set, export and sync options can be disabled.

Step 5: View set content
Use the view action to open the selected set in read mode.

Step 6: Hard delete a set
Use hard delete only when the set should be removed permanently.

Confirm the intent in the dialog before execution.
