ResubmitContextValuesForActiveMQ - System Parameter

ResubmitContextValuesForActiveMQ selects which context properties of a logged message (Log Event) Nodinite attaches as message properties when a user repairs and resubmits the message to an ActiveMQ queue from a Log View in the Web Client.

At a Glance

Since Nodinite 4.3.0.36

How It Works

When a user picks ActiveMQ as the transport in Repair and resubmit, Nodinite presets the dialog from the Log Event:

  • Broker and queue come from the Endpoint URI of the Log Event's Endpoint, in this form:

    Broker=failover:(tcp://servername1:61616);queue=resendqueuename

    With several brokers, list them inside failover:( … ):

    Broker=failover:(tcp://servername1:61616,tcp://servername2:61616);queue=resendqueuename

  • File name: when the Log Event carries a proposed file name in the Filename context option, the Web Client presets it for download and resubmit from a file.

  • Message properties: the context properties whose keys match a rule in this parameter are added to the resubmitted message. Your logging code must add those context properties to the Log Event first.

Repair needs AllowResubmit and AllowRepair set to true and the Allow Resend and Allow Repair permissions, see Permission Set for Log Views.

Value Format

A JSON array of rules. The format is the same as ExtractContextValues in ResendWebhookSettings.

Property Type Meaning
MessageTypeIds array of integers or null The Message Types the rule applies to. [] or null applies it to all Message Types.
KeyRegEx string Regular expression matched against the context property keys. Escape backslashes for JSON (\\#).
KeyGroup integer Which regex group becomes the property name on the message: 0 uses the whole key, 1 the first group.

Example: All Message Types

Attach every context property whose key starts with ActiveMQ#, such as ActiveMQ#Company or ActiveMQ#InvoiceNo. KeyGroup 1 picks the part matched by (.+), so the message gets the properties Company and InvoiceNo.

[
  {
    "MessageTypeIds": [],
    "KeyRegEx": "ActiveMQ\\#(.+)",
    "KeyGroup": 1
  }
]

Example: Selected Message Types

The first rule applies only to the Message Types with IDs 1, 42, and 1337; the second adds the Filename context option for all Message Types.

[
  {
    "MessageTypeIds": [1, 42, 1337],
    "KeyRegEx": "ActiveMQ\\#(.+)",
    "KeyGroup": 1
  },
  {
    "MessageTypeIds": [],
    "KeyRegEx": "ExtendedProperties\\/1\\.0\\#(Filename)",
    "KeyGroup": 1
  }
]
