Uninstalling the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server

This chapter describes how to uninstall the LDAP adapter. You must execute the steps in the defined order; Otherwise, you may find yourself in trouble with the state of Windows/BizTalk/GAC.

You must restart BizTalk Host Instances configured as Send Handlers for the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server.

Prerequisites

It would help if you met the following conditions before you uninstall the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server.

Before you uninstall

To uninstall the Nodinite LDAP Adapter, ensure the prerequisites are met and read through this tutorial.

Perform the uninstallation steps during the announced, pre-approved service window.

The host instances associated with the Nodinite LDAP adapter (send hosts) must be restarted; This might temporarily disrupt/affect your run-time,

Caution: Multiple versions of the Nodinite LDAP Adapter may co-exist. Remove all installations; Repeat the steps as necessary.

Uninstall steps

  1. Make sure no running service instances are using the LDAP adapter.

  2. Make sure there are no suspended messages destined for the LDAP adapter.

  3. Stop the 'Send Hosts' using the LDAP Adapter. This step may involve stopping receive locations and orchestrations. Ensure there are no more messages published to the solutions using the LDAP adapter.

  4. Remove (or re-configure) all send ports using the LDAP Adapter to be uninstalled. In the Send Ports view ; You can review the list of send ports using the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server, then sort on Transport Type.

  5. Remove the adapter from the BizTalk group using the BizTalk Server administration console.

  6. Start the host instances to resume normal operations of your Microsoft BizTalk Server environment.

  7. Exit the BizTalk Server Administration Console (group hub).

  8. Unregister the LDAP Adapter on every node where the adapter is installed.

Repeat on all nodes

  1. As an Administrator, Log on with RDP on the BizTalk processing node.
  2. Open an administrative command prompt.
  3. Navigate to the location where the adapter is installed.
  4. Execute the following command in the command prompt to unregister the LDAP Adapter:
IS.BizTalk.Adapters.LDAP.InstallationClient.exe /u

If there were no errors reported during the un-registration process; Exit the command prompt.

  1. Execute the MSI package, and select the option to uninstall.

Post uninstall steps

  1. Update your installation documentation/wiki/sharepoint accordingly and inform stakeholders about the new state of the environment.
  2. Cancel the SA agreement if this was the last installation and the product should no longer be used.
