Uninstall MCP Endpoint

The MCP Endpoint is removed together with the other Core Services by the uninstall command of the generated installation package; there is no separate uninstall for it. Follow Uninstall Nodinite v7 for the commands and options.

Uninstall Steps

  1. Run the Core Services uninstall for the environment, as described in Uninstall commands. The Configuration Database stays unless you add the delete options; see Remove Database Option.
  2. Confirm that the MCP Endpoint web site and app pool are gone from IIS, and that nothing is bound to the MCP Server port any more.
  3. Remove the firewall rule for the port; see Firewall and Network Cleanup.
  4. For OAuth installations, remove or disable the MCP API app registration and the Web Client permissions for its scopes; see Azure AD (Entra ID) Cleanup.
  5. Remove the nodinite or nodinite-mcp entry from the configuration of every MCP client that pointed at this environment, such as .vscode/mcp.json.
